How Fast Should My Backswing Be?

How fast should it be? Are there any guidelines for backswing speed? Obviously, the backswing does not impact club head speed through the golf ball. Or, does it? Watching some of the best in the sport, you see backswings for the pros vary from the quick paced Bobby Herschel to the slower, more rhythmic Ernie Els. Which one is right for you? Want to Play the Greatest Confidence Game?

Do you ever doubt? Everyone knows that Zach Johnson won the OPEN Championship this year, but did you know that he won with mediocre statistics? Julia Robert’s character, Tinkerbell, tells Peter Pan, "Just thinking happy thoughts" will make you fly. I’m also reminded of a golf movie where the lead is having difficulty getting back into the groove. Roy McAvoy, ... Read more...

Get Lean for More Consistent Golf Swings!

Ever wonder why you don’t hit your clubs on the golf course like you do on the range? Maybe the problem starts with unnecessary movements in your swing. Lean manufacturing principles focus on eliminating unnecessary procedures and components and, as a result, product costs. Eliminating unnecessary product components also often increases quality and, thereby, reduces support costs. Lean principles reduce costs of both manufacturing and support. The same might be true for your golf ... Read more...
