How Fast Should I Go?

How fast should it be? Are there any guidelines for backswing speed? Obviously, the backswing does not impact club head speed through the golf ball. Or, does it? Watching some of the best in the sport, you see backswings for the pros vary from the quick paced Bobby Herschel to the slower, more rhythmic Ernie Els. Which one is right for you? First, remember that it is a golf SWING and the keys to a good swing include tempo and rhythm. Coiling up the muscles in the torso and upper legs can ...

Want to Play the Greatest Confidence Game?

Do you ever doubt? Everyone knows that Zach Johnson won the OPEN Championship this year, but did you know that he won with mediocre statistics? He was 60th in driving distance and he was 40th in greens in regulation. But, at the end of the playoff he alone stood at the top for one reason - CONFIDENCE. Repeatable swings build CONFIDENCE. What do public speaking and playing golf have in common?

"I've always longed for adventure. To do the things I've never dared And here I'm facing adventure then why am I so scared."       Walking to the podium to speak to an audience? Slipping behind the wheel for your first driving test? Standing on the first tee at Augusta National? Watching your bride walk down the aisle toward you? Nervous, doesn't quite describe how you feel. Sweaty palms? Weak knees? We all get nervous. Even the pros. The question is how do you get your butterflies to fly in ... Read more...
