How to Break 100: The Stance

Last week, we talked about the 4 key shots needed to break 100. Here's the first part on how to execute those shots. It all starts with the correct grip and set-up routine. First the grip: the key here is to place the left hand (for a right-handed golfer) on top of the grip so that your wrist is on top of the grip. The left thumb will extend down the right side of the grip (about 1 o'clock). This should make it easy for your left arm and the club shaft to form a straight line from left ... Read more...

"How to Break 100" by Jim Bromley, PGA

This is the first post in a series on "How to Break 100". The key is to avoid disastrous shots and play only the ones you know you can make. You need to learn how use 4 clubs well. First, we need a consistent tee shot. I highly recommend a 13-degree lofted driver. It will not go as far as a lower-lofted driver, but you don't need a long shot, just a consistent one that finds the fairway. Next, we need a fairway shot. Here's the first half of today's tip: The objective of your grip needs to return the club face to impact square with NO manipulation. Take a moment and read that last sentence again. How many times do you hear people say they hit the ball to the right because they didn't release the club?! Of course, the next shot you will use your hands ... Read more...

Play TPC Louisiana this Weekend!

Ever wanted to try your game on courses where the PGA Tour plays? Well, look no further! There are a handful of courses on our simulators that replicate the Tour’s venues, including TPC Louisiana, home of this week’s Zurich Classic from outside New Orleans. This year mark's the tournament's first team-based format. Designed in 2004 by Pete Dye, the course is a fair test of a player’s all-around game and similar to Sawgrass with cypress trees and swamps. Golfers will appreciate the low-lying ... Read more...
